ENVIRONMENTAL LAW
Environmental law is part of environmental and planning law. Environmental law consists of a large number of laws and decisions that are all important for ensuring a good and clean environment. The Environmental Management Act (Wet milieubeheer, “Wmb”) is central to environmental law. It serves as a framework act for permit applications in case of activities that might result in environmental impacts.
Environmental law plays a role in relation to zoning plans and planning consent and as regards environmental permits and the construction of infrastructure. Its provisions also cover water pollution, air pollution and soil pollution and the assessment of liability for these types of pollution.
In view of the major interests and complexity involved, we would be pleased to advise you on the relevant regulations.
