Birgitte Gerrissen-Prins is specialised in commercial real estate. She assists and advises (international) real estate parties in the acquisition and sale of offices, hotels, shopping and distribution centres. As an assigned notary Birgitte is involved in the purchase, sale and financing of commercial real estate and the establishment of security rights, ground lease rights, right of superficies, common ownership and divisions into apartment rights. She also has extensive experience in the field of voluntary and enforceable sales of (commercial) real estate and ships.
Birgitte studied Dutch law and notarial law at the University of Amsterdam. She has been a member of the Royal Dutch Notarial Association (KNB) since 2013 and completed her notarial professional training in 2017, where she is authorised to act as an observer.
Birgitte has been a candidate civil-law notary at NewGround Law since March 2020 and works since June 2023 as an assigned notary. Previously, she worked at Baker McKenzie, DLA Piper and RoxLegal,
